Biodiversity provides: a variety of products and resources, a livable planet for us and for all other species.
Biodiversity helps: maintain the atmosphere (variety of species producing oxygen and variety taking in CO2), keep the soil fertile (variety of decomposers) purify water (variety of plants, microorganisms, algae, etc, that catch pollutants in moving water).
