What are producers?
Producers make their own food through photosynthesis after receiving energy from the sun.
What is the difference between prey and predators?
Prey are hunted and become food for predators. Predators hunt and eat their prey.
What are two examples of consumers?
If the grass dies in an ecosystem, how would this affect the animals living in this food web?
All animals would be affected by this. Food would be hard to find. Some animals might die, move, or become extinct without producers (plants).
What are Decomposers?
Decomposers break down the remains of dead organisms and adds nutrients to the soil.
You build a fence between your neighbor's yard and your yard. Some of your plants are dying. What could be the reason for this?
Decreased amount of sunlight the plants receive.

Some examples: mushrooms, bacteria

The animals would need to work harder to find food sources or move.
