What Is An Ecosystem?
Ecosystems is the collection of all the living and NON-living things that interact in a given area.
What is a habitat?
What is the natural home or environment where a plant or animal lives, grows, and thrives.
These ecosystems are found in tropical rainforests. They are found in countries close the equator and receive A LOT of rainfall. This causes plant life to grow and be dense. They have great diversity of plant and animal life.
What is aTropical Rainforest ecosystem.
I am called the rainforest of the ocean, over 1/4 of TOTAL marine life (life under the sea) rely on me for food. Some animals include Nemo and his family, other brightly colored fish, sponges, sea anemones, urchins, and clams.

I am an ecosystem found in warmer parts of the world, such as Africa. I have wide, treeless grounds that are often home to grazing animals. I get less rainfall than other ecosystems, BUT I still have summer and winter.

I am located in polar regions and on the tops of mountains. I am frozen and snow covered for most of the year. Winter is long and cold. Summer is short. I have lots of wildflowers that attract migrating birds!

I provide lots of diverse habitats for plants and animals. I am unique because of my altitude, I am very high up above sea level. This also makes my environment very harsh where only certain types of vegetation can survive. Animals that live in my ecosystem have thick fur coats to protect them from the cold.

I am found ALL over the world. I have lots of flowing freshwater and support a variet of underwater life. My water is fast moving, so I have lots of oxygen, this allows for more DIVERSE life amongst plants and animals.

I am an area where winters are cold and summers are warm. Forests are very common, they grow in the spring and summer and help living things by giving them food and shelter. In the fall, deciduous trees shed their leaves and coniferous trees stay green throughout the whole year.
