What is a grievance?

You have the right to grieve the actions of staff or conditions or circumstances in which you feel you have been treated unfairly. A grievance procedure is necessary to ensure that a resident's rights are not violated, to monitor and eliminate inappropriate conditions, and provide a safety valve to reduce tension among the residents detained in the Youth Facility.

The primary goals of the staff are to help you to:

Accept responsibility for your behavior including the use of RBT tools, develop problem solving and social skills so that you do not return back at ECYF, and ensure your safety and security.

List inappropriate behavior for GESTURES:

Laughing when someone gets in trouble or hurt, rolling your eyes, poor body language, slouching in chair, physically aggressive behavior, clenching your fist, etc.

What is a behavior improvement time out?

Refusal to take an earned 5, causing a disruption to the area or group once an earned 5 is earned, inappropriately engaging others in the area including loud or disruptive comments or noise, if you feel the need to calm down.

Monday Huskey Party Requirements? 

Level 3 or higher, you must earn 4 out of 6 pluses from Friday 2nd shift until Monday 2nd shift, no BITO's or SVTO's, you must earn 120 or more points on 1st shift throughout the weekend (Sat, Sun, Mon), and 100 or more points on 2nd shift throughout Fri, Sat, Sun.

Family visits - Every Wednesday from 6:00pm-6:50pm and Sundays from 2:30pm-3:20pm

What are coupons?

Coupons are used to reward you for appropriate behaviors and for continued acts of positive behavior.

What is a SVTO?

Making violent and provocative threats of a physical or sexual nature toward others, acting in a physically aggressive or violent manner, displaying behavior that causes damage to the facility, etc.

Friday Night Husky Party Requirements?

Level 4 or higher, no BITO's or SVTO's 24 hours prior to party, you must 6 out of 8 pluses for the week (Monday 2nd shift through Friday 1st shift), you must earn 120 points or more on 1st shift (Wed, Thurs, Fri) and you need to earn 100 or more points on 2nd shift two days prior (Wednesday and Thursday).
