What is False. Many administration will require to see your lesson plans when evaluating you. Some districts require that educators pass in plans on Monday or Friday for the week.

This section lets us know as teachers that the student understand the content that has been covered. The list includes ideas that may be transferred to future learning. The ideas are very specific.

Poster with animals of same species, time line graphics, specific vocabulary terms and short research essay would be placed under this section.

True or False? I do not have to include the student reflection time in my lesson plans. This is something they will do on their own so I do not need to put that on my plans.
What is False. This is very valuable to student learning. Whether you incorporate reflection time into your classroom or ask that students do a reflection for homework it should be listed in your plan. This is a piece, that if asked for evidence, you could pull out a few journals and copy the responses students wrote.

What is LAZINESS? (Just kidding) What is Time Management. Not best practice but also not a classroom fiasco unless you have an observation that day. Just try not to make this a habit. :)

This section is often listed with verbiage that refers to 'doing'. This same list is one most educators put up on their classroom boards for all students to see. Some districts even require students/educators to read these on a daily basis. Some districts require educators to place these on their boards on a daily basis.

True or False? Stage 3 is the last step in writing a UbD format lesson plan. It is listed last therefore should be written last.
What is False. It can be valuable to write Stage 3 prior to writing Stage 2. Write your plans first and then think of ways to assess the learning.

Clear expectations are spoken and discussed in the beginning of the year. Students have come up with some classroom rules that work for all and set everyone up for success. When things are not going as set in the beginning of the year, expectations are reread and practiced again.

These are broad statements. They are BIG IDEAS. These are areas that will be explored throughout the lessons and broken down into smaller bits of learning.
What is Understandings section.

All these listed have some form of rubric that allows the students achieve at the highest personal level. They also demonstrate individual understanding of the content covered. They might be considered 'Authentic' due to the allowance of personal expression and/or inquiry in the final product.
What is a Performance Task.

True or False? Stage 3 is limited to only three lesson plans and should the standard should be taught within three lessons or less.
What is False. You could have many more lesson planned to cover the content or you may have only two. It depends on the standard and the content to be covered.

You set time out of your busy schedule (even 2 minutes) to reflect on your lessons. You look at your lesson plans for the next day and check to make sure you have all items ready to go.
What is Best Practice. Please take out a piece of paper and when I tell you 'go', please write about one vacation you took. This can be from any stage in your life. One that one most memorable.
