What are the steps for an OTR incident?

  1. Execute SUPER SSNAP: Safely bring the vehicle to a stop, Set the brake, place the vehicle in Neutral, Activate 4-way flashers, Press manual activation on smart drive
  2. Wear a reflective vest 
  3. Secure the Scene:  Place safety triangles, flares, etc. within 10 minutes
  4. Check for Injuries
  5. Call 911 (if required):
    . Any incident involving contact with another vehicle or injury, call 911 immediately
  6. Return to your vehicle and buckle your seatbelt, remain there unless otherwise instructed by First Responders (police, fire, EMS, etc.)
  7. Call Driver Support Services (DSS): Via Relay App C2C
  8. Complete the TA OTR Post-Incident Checklist and Packet, located in the vehicle Document Book:  Factual information only
  9. Follow All Instructions of First Responders: Police Officers, Fire, EMT, as well as your on-duty supervisor
  10. Execute action plan agreed with DSS, ARC and Manager:  Driver and equipment return plan, equipment repair plan, cargo securement and/or drug screening process
