  • Contact your supervisor. If they or someone else can't come release you supervisor will notify Manager who will report to ED.
  • The Employee's Supervisor must approve any deviations from regularly scheduled work hours in advance. No one is allowed to adjust their schedule without supervisor approval.

 If you find yourself pushed to the limit by a crying infant/toddler, you may need to focus on calming yourself doing the following steps. If you notice your coworker are pushed to your limits what should you do?

  • Put baby in the crib, on their back. Make sure the baby is safe.
  • Notify your co-teacher that you need a break, and are leaving the classroom.
  • Within 5 minutes find someone who can go and assist your co-teacher. You may get; EHS Floater, Education Supervisor, Family Service Worker, Education Manager, Family Service Worker Supervisor, and Home Base Teacher. Contact, call or text your Education Supervisor or Education manager for assistance to find coverage.
  • Once the classroom is covered; you need to go and take a break yourself. Do what you need to calm yourself down, such as taking a walk, sit outside, calling/talking to a friend, get yourself a treat, listening to music, or any other distraction.
  • After 15 Minutes, assess yourself and decide if you can return to the classroom, or need a longer break.

  • No food or drinks are allowed in the classroom for employees to snack on unless previously approved by supervisor or Human Resources to meet health needs.
