Identify 3 test prep strategies.
p. 81
1. Don't spend time on what you already know.
2. Know what will be covered. Draft outlines and write essay answers about the material.
3. Break the material into sections to study over a few days prior to the exam.
4. Focus on the key concepts, cause and effect relationships, comparison and contrast, significance, and connections within the material.
5. Look for ways to use mnemonic devices or other memory techniques.
6. Connect to what you know. Does a term remind you of someone's name? Does a date hold personal meaning?
7. Make flash cards or write out questions to quiz yourself.
8. Teach someone else the material -- if you can teach it, you know it!
9. Attend test review sessions or study with other students from class.
10. Get plenty of sleep the night before, eat breakfast, and drink lots of water.
