When I rub a balloon on my hair explain what happens. 

Negatively charged particles go from my hair to the balloon. Causing the balloon to now be negatively charged. The extra negative particles in the balloon attract to the positive particles in other objects (like a wall) causing them to stick together.

The earth is a large magnet meaning the earth has a magnetic field that some species can sense. They use the field to navigate and this can help certain species when they are migrating.

Temporary magnet is a magnet that does not always have magnetic properties but can be given magnetic properties by connecting it to a permanent magnet. It can also be easily turned into a permanent magnet.
