What is the role of a device in an electric circuit?
The device is the part of the circuit that receives electrical energy and can be turned on.
If one device stops working in a series circuit what happens to any other loads in the circuit?
They also stop working.
Come to the board and draw a diagram of a parallel circuit.
To be determined by Mr. Langley
Where are the devices, wires, and energy source located in a lamp?
The device is the lightbulb, the wires are located in the electrical cord and inside the lamp, and the energy source is the electrical outlet which leads all the way to a power plant.
Name a device that can transform electric energy into thermal energy and name another device that can transform electric energy into sound energy.
Thermal- lightbulb, heater, etc.
Sound- radio, speaker, phone, computer etc.
If all the devices of a robot were wired in a series circuit, what would happen if the one of the lightbulb's in the robot burned out?
All the devices of the robot would not work because the electricity only has one path to follow in a series circuit.
