What natural resources are nonrenewable?

Cole, oil, natural gas, nuclear, uranium.

100

Voltage is measured in what?

Volts (V)

100

What does ohms law state?

It describes that the ratio of voltage to current is resistance.

100

What are negative things about nonrenewable energy?

It is harmful for the environment, and will eventually run out.

100
What what kind of charge does a proton have?
A positive charge.
200
What kind of charge does an electron have?
A negative charge.
200

Resistance is measured in what?

Ohms

200

What does the equation V=IR mean?

It means that voltage is equal to current multiplied by resistance.

200

What are good things about renewable resources?

They are clean for the environment and will never run out.
200
What is static electricity?
A charge that stays on an object.
300

What are bad things about renewable resources?

They are expensive to start at first, difficult to transport, and not always reliable.

300

What is current measured in?

Amps (A)

300
What is an electric current?
The steady flow of electricity.
300

What is a circuit?

A current that moves along a wire or path in a single direction

300

What is a series circuit?

A circuit that has only one path for the current.

400
What is a resistor?
A material that slows or resists, but doesn't stop the flow of the current.
400

What is an example of a conductor?

A material that allows electricity to pass through it.

400

What is the name for materials that don't allow electricity to pass through it?

Insulators

400
What is a conductor?
A material that current can pass through easily.
400

What is a parallel circuit?

A circuit that has several path for the electricity to flow.

500

What are good things about nonrenewable resources?

They are pretty reliable, easy to transport, and cheap.

500

What is an insulator?

A material that current cannot pass through easily.

500

What letter stands for current?

I

500

How does a battery work?

Each terminal of a battery is connected to a different type of chemical. The chemical at the negative terminal releases electrons, which flow to the positive terminal. The chemical at the positive terminal attracts the electrons released by the negative terminal.

500

How do the dimensions of a resistor affect current?

If the resistor is long and narrow, the current will be slower and there will be more resistance. On the other hand, if the resistor is shorter and wider there will be a greater current and less resistance.
