Topic Sentence
There are two basic elements for a topic sentence:
Topic and controlling idea
They give information that explain and expand the topic of the paragraph.

What are the four purposes of a concluding sentence?
It restates the main idea. It offers a suggestion. It makes a prediction. It gives an opinion.

Paragraph
Tells the reader the main idea of a thought that the writer is trying to express.
