What is drop off time?
All children have the right to a safe educational environment free from harassment and bullying.
What is the Anti-Bullying Policy?
Biting, spitting, overly aggressive conflicts or other behavior that might result in injury to a child or an adult.
What is Extreme Behavior?
In order for Elham Academy to run successfully, every family is required to have this throughout the school year.

Parents will be required to complete the school day's work with their child at home.
What is Absence policy?
Any behavior which is deliberately intended to hurt, threaten, frighten or discriminate against another individual or group.
What is bullying?
All equipment is designed for enjoyment and physical development, but if misused, can cause bodily harm to oneself and others. If any incident occurs, the students must report it to the on-duty teachers/staff to get assistance.
What is Playground safety?
All parents that will work in close contact with students need to go through this.
What is a background check?
In an effort to promote moderation and avoid displays of extravagance, this will not be celebrated for students at the school. In place of this, we encourage the 'Celebration of Life" philosophy.
What are birthday observances?
12 pm or 2:15-2:30pm

What are the different forms of bullying?
All students are expected to wear appropriate Islamic clothing during this time.
What is Salaah time?
Once families are enrolled to Elham Academy, they will be asked to join this as a form of communication.
What is the WhatsApp Group?
Due to inclement weather, Elham Academy will confer with local school districts to make its determinations on this.
What are school closings?
Parents are required to inform the teachers and school admin about this by emailing info@elhamacademy.com
What is the Attendance/Absence/Travel Policy?
Listening to all parties involved, taking allegations seriously, investigating incidents fully, encouraging victims to speak up, ensuring anonymity, treating all incidents seriously.
Redirect to a more appropriate activity, speak quietly to the child, explain the consequences of the behavior, help the child develop conflict resolution skill, remove the child from the class for a short period of time.
What are Implementation?
What will teachers and / TA's do when a child is having a behavioral issue?
Respect the values, treat every family and student with respect and dignity, work together in the best interest of the students, seek a peaceful and reasonable solution to issues that arise, approach a staff member for help to resolve issues.
What is the Parent Code of Conduct?
Elham students will have the opportunity to get this done in the fall and once in the spring.

Nights of Qadr, Eid al-Fitr, Ashura, Eid al-Ghadeer
What are religious holidays that Elham will close on?
Helping students through advice and counseling, fostering the values we believe in, use strategies which challenge bullying behavior, include in the curriculum opportunities to discuss bullying, identify bullying in the early stages and work toward behavior modification.
What are Elham Academy's Strategies to Prevent Bullying?
What are the Guiding Principles of Discipline?
If it is related to a fellow member of the co-op community, the parent should address the issue with that member. If the parent is not satisfied, they can then request a meeting with the Board Chair and Aalim who will then attempt to resolve the issue quickly.
What is the Parent Grievance Procedure?
It is the responsibility of parents to provide this for their child before school and send their child with this to school.
