This is the person in charge of the incident, and in the case of ALC, will be an administrator.
Who is the Incident Command?
The top priorities for incident management at ALC are these things.
What are to protect & save lives and to protect property and mitigate damages and impacts to individuals, the community and the environment?
This response action is used if there is a potentially dangerous situation outside the building, such as a wild animal.
What is Reverse Evacuation?
This response action is used when it is necessary for staff to look around their area for any item which doesn't belong there.

Where is the laundry room?
These are the individuals responsible for the safe reunification of the children with their emergency contacts.
Who are the Child Reunification Team, comprised of Staff?
The 3 forms that families are responsible for completing to prepare for an emergency.
What are the Child Emergency/Registration form, Child Reunification/Release form, and the Evacuation Relocation Notification Form?
The response action is used if an incident in the building poses an usafe environment.
What is Evacuation?
The response action in which you would close all curtains and windows and no one is permitted in or out of the building.
What is Secure Campus?
Area of refuge for IT2.
Where is the IT2 closet?
These are the individuals that ensure the children are cared for during an incident.
Who are the Child Care Team, comprised of staff?
The form that staff must complete for children who have not been reunited with their families/guardians?
What is the Unaccompanied Minor and Separated Child Report Form for Applewood (see Appendix 11)?
This response action may be used in the event of an earthquake or possibly tornado
What is Drop, Cover & Hold?
The response action in which you would take cover under a sturdy table or other furniture.

Where is the adult bathroom downstairs?
These are the individuals responsible for providing any necessary First Aid or CPR.
Who are the Medical Team, comprised of staff, and then first responders.
Who are the Director and Attorney?
This response action may be used in the event of a threat from outside the building such as a police chase nearby or potential violence in the surrounding community.
What is Secure Campus?
The response action in which you might use duct tape and plastic to close off vents that can't otherwise be closed.
What is Shelter in Place?
Area of refuge for PS1.
Where is the adult bathroom upstairs?
This is how families will be notified of an incident and kept up to date.
What is via phone, email and/or text?
This is the statewide mass public safety notification and severe weather warnings system.
This response action may be used in the event of a situation within the building such as an active shooter, hostage incident, intruder, or disturbance that would require securing staff and children in their classrooms or other areas able to be locked.
What is Lockdown?
The two off site locations for off site evacuation.
What are Hannaford and Londonderry Leach Library?
Area of refuge for PS2.
Area of refuge for SA.
Where is the PS2 closet?
Where is the bookkeeper's office (if she's here) or one of the SA bathrooms?
