Three examples of criteria for Extreme Weather Center activation

What are 

Level 4 on the NWS HeatRisk forecast AND high temperatures remaining overnight (≥ 80°F all night) for three or more consecutive days.

Temperatures below 32°F overnight AND temperatures remaining low during the day (≤ 32°F all day) for three or more consecutive days.

Surveillance information from various sources (i.e., hospital emergency department, dispatch, etc.).

Declaration or mandate issued by State Governor or Regional/State Health Officer.

Extended power outages (e.g., 3+ days)*
