What is the focus of ENC 1101?
The course introduces students to rhetorical concepts and audience-centered approaches to writing including composing processes, language conventions and style, and critical analysis and engagement with written texts and other forms of communication.
When is the use of cell phones appropriate in class?
When class activities call for the use of cell phones or we are working on independent work (please silent phones during class).
What is the late policy for assignments?
10% will be deducted for each day the assignment is late.

Never. This policy emanates from a principle of kindness; when we are with another person or persons, we want to give our complete, undivided attention. If any such devices are used, Finley will kindly ask you to kindly engage in class.

When do you have to purchase USF Writes?
At least by the second week of the semester, so you have a little time, but still get on it kid!
When are assignments due?
Unless otherwise stated, work assigned on Monday will be due by Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. and work assigned on Wednesday will be due on Friday by 11:59 p.m.

How are you graded on your three final projects?
For final Projects (1, 2, and 3), your grade could possibly consist of three considerations: my grade, your grade, and your group members’ grade for your work. Every person in the group will provide the instructor with a suggested grade for every other member of the group. Your group members’ grade (all combined) will be worth 10% of your overall project grade. And with a rubric.
