Translate the quote into modern English AND explain how it relates to the theme of Love. "Holy Saint Francis, what a change is here! Is Rosaline, whom thou didst love so dear, So soon forsaken? Young men’s love then lies Not truly in their hearts, but in their eyes."

Based on this quote and what you know of Animal Farm, why is this quote significant to the message of the novel? "Somehow it seemed as though the farm had grown richer without making the animals themselves any richer— except, of course, for the pigs and the dogs."
This message of the novel is that history repeats itself, especially corruption. The novel started out with Farmer Jones and the humans benefiting from the animals, while the animals were treated poorly and overworked. The animals overthrew the humans with the idea to create their own society where everyone was equal. Napoleon gained control of the farm and then began to reap the benefits from the animals while overworking them and cutting their rations (similar to Farmer Jones). The pigs and the dogs have now replaced the humans from Mr. Jone's era.

What is the theme of Friendship and Jealousy. Gene was always jealous of Finny and always in a competition to be better than his friend. When Finny died, Gene "killed" his enemy - his jealousy and hatred as he realized that Finny and him were one in the same person.
