The Castle Kendric hesitated on the threshold of the old abandoned castle, standing before its crumbling walls and broken windows. Rain poured around him like icy daggers as thunder roared overhead like a lion's roar, shaking the ground beneath him. His heart raced with fear as he contemplated what secrets this monolithic structure held within its walls. He had heard tales from the adults of the creatures that lurked in the shadows of this stormy night, but he was determined to face his fears headon. Taking a deep breath, Kendric slowly walked toward the castle's entrance. The closer he got, the more menacing it seemed to become - like an impenetrable fortress filled with horrors beyond his wildest imagination. Nonrenewable Energy Nonrenewable energy sources, such as coal and oil, are major environmental concerns. Burning fossil fuels is the primary contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and climate change. These pollutants can lead to air pollution and acid rain while also damaging ecosystems and affecting agricultural production. Additionally, the extraction process of these resources can be incredibly damaging. It can pollute drinking water through contamination or cause deforestation when land is cleared for mining. As a limited resource, nonrenewable energy has the potential to run out in the near future, making it an unsustainable energy source overall. In contrast to nonrenewable sources, renewable energy sources like wind and solar offer a cleaner alternative with many benefits. These sources provide consistent access to clean energy that does not have as much of an impact on our environment. They also have less of a contribution to climate change since renewable sources don’t produce any emissions when generating electricity. Investing in renewable energy is key for reducing the negative effects of nonrenewable resources in our environment since they have far more sustainable properties than other fuel sources available today.

Which sentence from the article based represents the thesis of the article?

Bees Bees are equipped with highly specialized hairs to enable them to transport and spread pollen from flower to flower. Researchers at Georgia Tech have been studying the movements of bees in high-speed footage, revealing that each hair has a specific purpose. Each hair is carefully placed so that it can brush off pollen while also carrying the pollen grains. The hairs on the bee's eyes are positioned in such a way that they can fit one grain of pollen per hair, thus helping spread the pollen over larger distances. Furthermore, each bee has up to 170,000 unique hairs all over their bodies – all of which play an essential role in the pollination process. Moreover, honeybees have special features like their stiff 'basket' hairs, which help them collect more pollen and maintain it within their bodies for longer periods of time. This specialized adaptation helps bees efficiently transfer pollen from one flower to another, thus aiding in the process of pollination and ultimately playing a vital role in our ecosystem.

Based on the article, what conclusion can be made about the specialized hair on bees?

A This adaptation not only helps the bees but helps the environment.

B Bees need this adaptation to stay safe from predators.

C These hairs are essential to the survival and movement of bees.

D Without these hairs, bees would not be able to collect any pollen.
