This happens on happens on Monday, August 26th.

Fall Welcome takes extra strides to ensure that we follow the green-footprints of this initiative to be eco-conscience on campus. Includes projects like the ecomug, The Campus Beet, student garden, and the bike shop. They recently got a new office.

This event is designed to help the parents of the incoming student with their own transition of their children heading away to college. WMU faculty and staff will be there to have 1-1 conversations with those parents and answer any questions they may have. The parents will have a memento to take away from this event.

During this event the students will head downtown with their group to be apart of a unique scavenger hunt that will familiarize the students with everything Downtown Kalamazoo has to offer.

This event is run by the Western Student Association during the school year, but we're taking it over for Fall Welcome! Send your students here to get a taste of WMU pride on their first Wednesday on campus.

During the Wednesday Student Involvement Night this large event includes an interactive Latin Dance Party known as Salsa Magic, Buster's Moonlight Stampede, climbing the climbing wall, basketball, racquetball, etc.

This event is designed so that each academic college can welcome their students with special programming. Students will also be given a Fall Welcome shirt in the color representing their academic college to unify the students in their respective colleges.

This campus-wide event intends to create a sense of community throughout our campus as well as prepare students for responsible academic behavior. This various aspects of this event is used in the FYS 2100 course as well as various COM courses. This year it will be about “The Anatomy of Injustice.”
