Being in extra curricular activites & maintaning passing grades shows that you can handle more than one task. Making passing grades and playing no sports dosen't look bad but it makes people question if you can handle more than one task. If you're given a big assignment and a bunch of other work and its all due on the same day will you be able to handle it? So to answer the question no it will most likely not affect your chances of getting into a college if you do not participate in any extra curricular activites as long as you have a high GPA and decent test grades.
