Explain the mummification process?
The Ancient Egyptians removed the brain through the nose using a hook. Then they would remove the other vital organs (such as the liver, stomach, intestines, and lungs) and store them in canopic jars. The heart was the only organ to remain in the body because it was "the home of the soul". Then, the body would be covered in natron salt for 40 days, and then covered with resin and oil. Then they wrapped the body in many layers of linen.
