What is the procedure for grain dryer smolder/fire?
If smoke is detected by smell or sight, shut the drier down immediately. Use the red “Emergency stop button” located in the elevator office on the control panel by the door. This will prevent any further burning material from leaving the drier being fed into more areas of the elevator such as the concrete bins.

If the dust collector is hot to the touch, or if the paint is becoming charred. (The fresh air introduced by the door opening may cause a small fire to burst into flames and/or detonate a secondary dust explosion)
