How did the geography of the colonies shape what kind of economy they had?
South = good soil and growing climate so mostly agricultural. North = poor soil and colder climate so more diverse economy (industry and agriculture)

They created legislative bodies to handle local to colony-wide issues. In the North, they had town meetings where colonists could voice concerns and handle town issues. In the South, Virginia had the House of Burgesses, which was made up of rich, white men who made laws for the colony.
