Ecological perspective is an approach to living, dynamic interactions. It has an emphasis on dynamic interactions. It focuses on transactions between individuals and their environment at the point where the individual and environment meet. Systems theory is used to refer to inanimate, mechanical operations. It focuses on boundaries of subsystems within a system and the balance within the system.
