Who can sell Girl Scout cookies?
Any registered Girl Scout. We encourage girls to create a statement and attach a picture to that statement and ask their Cookie Supporters to help spread their message about ways to help sell more cookies.

That is a pledge that girls and parents should discuss together to make sure that all Girl Scouts use proper website and safety precautions while online.

How much do I get in money if I sell GS cookies?
All cookie proceeds belong to the troop not directly to any girl. Troops may not track dollar for dollar down to a girl. All proceeds from the sale of cookies should be used evenly between all of the girls in the troop even if the girl did not sell cookies.

Are patches part of the recognitions?
Only the Early Bird, Theme patch and Achievement Bars are recognitions. The other patches can be purchased from the GSSN shop.

Can girls and parents advertise that they are selling cookies on any social media site?
No- girls and parents can let their friends and family members know how to reach them to support their sale but only on their own personally owned social media sites.

I am a Juliette can I sell cookies?
Yes Juliette's can sell cookies just like a girl in a traditional troop. All money for a Juliette goes into a Juliette General Fund account that is maintained here at council. When Juliette's want to use any of those funds they simply fill out a Juliette Fund Request form and that form is submitted electronically to the Product & Retail Sales Manager for review. Juliette's are granted funds based on a banding range criteria.

GS Bucks are placed on a gift card and can be used for the following criteria: GSSN girl resident/day camp sessions GSSN council shop/trading post purchases GSSN girl level training's and events GSSN or GSUSA Destination travel opportunities

I have a parent who is not paying the troop the money that is owed, where can I find information on what to do about this?
First- document all written communications with the parent. Then you can find the necessary paperwork on the council website under the cookies tab and then under the For Cookie Sellers, then Resources tab. The form is called Slow Pay.

What is the only authorized site to sell Girl Scout cookies?
CoCoDirect- Girls can create their own personal site where they can set goals and use the marketing options to send E cards to their friends and family asking them to support their sale. Customers can be sent two different E Cards - 1 is just like a face to face interaction where the girl would have to collect the payment and deliver the cookies the other option is a customer can purchase cookies directly online and have them shipped to them within 48 business hours after paying for the cookies.

What happens to the money that a girl earns if she leaves a troop?
All money earned from the sale of cookies belongs to the troop that earned it. Girls who transfer from one troop to another can ask for a donation from the loosing troop to the new troop but this should be a girl decision. The troop that the girls leaves would write a check to the new troop and then that money would be used evenly between all of the girls in the new troop.

Day in the Clouds at Heavenly Lake Tahoe. Girls who sell 1000 packages or more will be invited to this day long trip.

What is the difference between a Cookie booth and a Lemonade stand?
A Lemonade stand is where a girl and her Cookie Supporter set up a table at their personal residence and sell their cookies. A cookie booth is a troop function that the TPSC can select the location by using SNAP. A cookie booth requires a minimum of 2 registered adults and 2 registered Girl Scouts at all times. TPSC's will select approved cookie booths by using SNAP starting in February.
