TLO was searched in school without a warrant, but it was protected because she was in school. The Supreme Court said that rights are more limited in school.

Miranda was not read his rights and signed his confession. The confession was thrown out, and couldn't be used against him. In this instance the Amendment was violated but corrected by the Supreme Court.

Was accused of a crime and asked for a lawyer because he couldn't for one. The judge said since it wasn't a criminal case, they wouldn't give him one. He was convicted and was sent to jail. The Supreme Court took a look at the case and decided that regardless of the case you will ALWAYS be provided a lawyer if needed.
