Explain the Educational and Leadership Consultant program in your own words.
(Below is how it is described in the Pledge Manual, but pledges are to use their own words.) One of the national services to collegiate chapters is a consultation visit from Central Office staff. The Educational and Leadership Consultants, and various other staff members, periodically visit each collegiate chapter on their respective campus. The visits include meetings, training, and discussions about all areas of chapter operations including recruiting, financial management, professional programming, service events, risk management, academic encouragement, faculty and campus relations, alumni relations, motivation, time management, and more. Chapter operating documents and reference materials are also reviewed, discussed, and updated on each visit, including reports in the Chapter Management Program, chapter bylaws, pledge education program, budgets and financial records, membership records, annual census reports, and inventory of chapter assets. The campus consultation visits also include additional promotion and discussion about membership benefits, the Leadership Foundation, and leadership opportunities along with public relations meetings with business Deans and Student Activities staff. The counseling and advising throughout a consultation visit will leave the chapter members with improved knowledge about national and chapter operations and provide new ideas for activities and suggested resolutions to common challenges faced by student organizations. The result leads to a well-rounded chapter with improved effectiveness in business operations and more dedicated, confident, and informed chapter members.

In your own words, define the ideal member and the ideal chapter.
The ideal member of a chapter of Delta Sigma Pi is one who subscribes to the objectives of the Fraternity, and, in so doing, is willing to subordinate his or her own will and viewpoint to that of the majority. The brother is tolerant and sympathetic to the viewpoint of others. Such a member will attempt through college work, scholastic or otherwise, to bring credit to himself/herself and in turn to the Fraternity. Duties allotted should be promptly and cheerfully performed to the best of ability. If elected to chapter office, it should be considered a distinction and an obligation to serve members and the Fraternity. The brother should remember that “he profits most who serves best” and that returns from membership in a fraternity are commensurate with the giving. The ideal member will therefore give to the Fraternity, and to the Leadership Foundation, to the best of his or her ability and expect the reciprocity which eventually comes to every giver. The ideal chapter is one in which each member actually lives and carries out the objectives of the Fraternity. In such a chapter there should always be perfect harmony and accord. Each member should be tolerant and sympathetic to the viewpoint of others. Each member should be actively engaged in work which reflects credit not only to himself/herself, but to the organization. The ideal chapter, through its officers, maintains constant and constructive contacts with the Central Office of the Fraternity, the alumni of the chapter, and the other chapters and members of the Fraternity. Such a chapter successfully sponsors a professional program and other activities which bring to the attention of the faculty and the student body the fact that the chapter is not only alive and exceedingly worthwhile, but that it also has a prominent place on the campus and performs useful and important functions.
