Why do Catholics pray with (to) Mary? 

We honor her as mother of Jesus. She is a big part in our salvation history, a model Christian, and someone who cares about what Jesus cares about-us. We believe all the saints are in heaven with Jesus, and they can intercede on our behalf to pray for us to be holy/closer to Jesus.

Does Sacrament of Confession have origins in the Bible?

Yes. The Bible actually encourages confessing sins to others. In Epistle of James 5:16 it says: “Confess your sins to one another.” Also in Gospel of John 20:23, Jesus gave the apostles authority to forgive sins. These passages are the biblical foundation for the sacrament.
