Breakdown of Errors

  • Capitalization: Starts with a lowercase letter ("yesterday").
  • Verb Tense: Mixes past and present tense ("go" instead of "went", "say" instead of "said").
  • Subject-Verb Agreement: Uses "was" instead of "were" for the plural subject "We".
  • Word Spacing: Combines "a lot" into a single word ("alot").
  • Missing Punctuation: Needs a comma after an introductory phrase ("Yesterday,") and between items in a list ("milk, eggs,").
  • Comma Splice: Uses a comma to join two complete sentences instead of a period or semicolon ("wallet," he said. So, I...").
  • "Pizza" is unnecessarily capitalized mid-sentence. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
