“out of your riches” is however much or little you feel like giving
God gives according to his riches.
Example: "according to the riches of his grace..." How much grace does God give? More than we deserve, more than what is required. (He saved us how? By sacrificing His only son. Is that all? No. He adopted us as his children and made us co-heirs with Christ. Is He done? Nope. He also seals us with the Holy Spirit. Finished? Not yet. He prepares a home and inheritance for us)

Sealed with the Holy Spirit:
1) to confirm an object or document as genuine
The Holy Spirit verifies that you are a genuine Christian
2) to mark something as one's property
The Holy Spirit confirms you are God's child/you belong to God 3)
3) to make something secure
The Holy Spirit makes the believer secure in his/her faith
What are the ghosts of Christian past, present, and future?
PAST: dead in trespasses; we are sinful by nature. We live a sinful life; sinful lifestyle (v. 1-3);
PRESENT: made alive; saved through faith -> God's gift; God (the giver, the one whom we have offended) initiates forgiveness and offers mercy/forgiveness through Christ and promises to raise us up and seat us in the heavenly places;
FUTURE: good works -> bring glory to God; God’s character is proclaimed in our story. EVERYTHING is from God
(His initiation, His grace, mercy, the faith we have/our ability to believe, etc. ….ALL is from God, so you cannot boast)
