STAT BMP, Hemogram/Plt, Phos, PTT/PT INR, K/ion Mg/ion Ca
What are Lab test immediate Post Open Heart
Q 15 mins x 4; Q 30 mins x 2; Q 1 hour there after
What are Vital Signs immediate post-op?
Crystalloids, Colloids, Calcium Chloride, Pressors
What to use for Hypotension?
Released upon admission from another facility
What are admission orders?
>200 ml/h or 800 ml in the first 6 hours after admission
When to notify Surgeon/CCM, CT drain post-op?
STAT Chest Xray @ EKG
What are test immediate post-op?
Pacing wire D/C, Patient in bed/chair for 2hours, V/S Q 15 minutes then Q 1 hours
What is Tamponade Precaution?
Drips to treat low Cardiac Index & Cardiac Output
What is Inotropic medication/gtts?
Daily Double!!
When the provider says it, you repeat it, clarify it and document it
What are verbal orders?
30 ml continuous PRN, NPO or continuous TF/TPN held

Hemoglobin 7g/dl, CO <2
When to notify CCM/Surgeon?
Perform daily-> Utilize same equipment method
What is daily weight?
Stop sedation prior & SBT; 2-minute tolerance screen; 30 minute trial
