Under what conditions would you evacuate the property?
If the power outage becomes lengthy, beware of unsafe conditions such as failure of emergency lighting batteries or generators or increased CO2 buildup due to the HVAC system being off. If you become aware of an unsafe condition, consider a full evacuation of the building.

What should you do during the time people are trapped in the elevator?
Remain in constant contact with the elevator passengers, keeping them calm and offering to notify business associates or family and friends about the delay.

Check the FLS equipment and fire alarm and voice communication systems to ensure that they are in working order.
Check the electrical panels.

What must you do once the power emergency is over?
Verify the quality and stabilkity of power on restoration.
Check, reset and/or restore power by resetting breakers or switches and tbuilding HVAC systems.
Restore all building systems and equipment back to normal operation.
Ensure the Property Response Team members who responded to the emergency have met to critique the overall operation.
Prepare Incident Report and send to Director of Ops.

When elevator service is restored after an entrapment, what should you do?
Go to the floor that the passengers are expected to be discharged from.
Upon release, greet passengers and help as needed.
