Highest risk location, category, modern slavery rating
How are suppliers selected for Ethical Trade Audits (SMETA)
Compliance selects suppliers to undergo an Ethical Trade Audit based on the individual supplier’s risk score in the 3PR due diligence system, geographic location and relationship factors (including contractual obligations).
What is a CAP
A corrective action plan is given to the supplier at the end of the audit. CAP must be closed out in the stated time frame
Who conducts a SMETA
Third party providers perform the audits with the Suppliers.
Who asks the supplier for the information required for the SMETA?
Procurement contract specialists reach out to the supplier to gather the contact information requested by Compliance
Who monitors the CAP?
Contract Specialist during regular supplier meetings.

What is modern slavery
Modern slavery’ is an umbrella term used to describe the serious exploitation of people, usually for a commercial or personal gain. It typically includes slavery; servitude; forced marriage; forced labour; debt bondage; deceptive recruiting for labour or services; and the worst forms of child labour
What are audit exemptions
If a supplier has had an Ethical Trade Audit in the past 2 years, the audit report can be submitted in place of holding a SMETA.
