The document outlined southern right as well as the South's devotion to the Union. It established Georgia's conditional acceptance of the Compromise of 1850. With Georgia leading the way, other southern states also accepted the Compromise preventing a civil war for 11 years.

Representatives from the northern counties, Small farmers, and Non-slave holders were against the secession. Owners of large farms, and Slave holders were for the secession. When two groups have different decisions they either have a war or debate, so they had a debate to decide if the secession was going to happen.

Why did Lincoln give the Emancipation Proclamation?

Lincoln gave the proclamation because he didn't like slavery and wanted to free slaves. It was described as freeing ALL slaves. However, according to the proclamation “All slaves in the rebellious states would be freed on January 1, 1863.” Only slaves in CONFEDERATE states would be freed.

The nullification crisis was a dispute over tariffs. The North supported high tariffs to subsidize their fledgling manufacturing industry against the cheaper products that could be sent to the United states by Great Britain. While, the South was opposed to this tariff because it took away profits from cotton farmers based on Great Britain's retaliatory tariff on cotton, so South Carolina threatened to nullify the tariff and secede.

how did the dred scott case lead to the civil war

Dred Scott was a slave who was taken by his master to the free states of Illinois and Wisconsin. Scott sued the state but his case was rejected because the Court declared that slaves and freed blacks should not have the right to sue anyone and were not citizens of the U.S.
