Water quality and water quantity is a major threat to the Everglades. There is an expanding agriculture industry so the demand for water had increased greatly. The demand for water has increased, but the supply has not increased. Why is this an issue?
What is the supply does not increase, there is less and less water for the Everglades. Canals, locks, and dams were built so water would flow directly to the ocean, preventing floods which also reduces the amount of water that reaches the Everglades.
