Furthermore, it can't be destroyed, and your whole team can pick it up from a pretty far distance. It invalidates weapons like chargers and stringers completely for casual play, and requires those weapons to be perfect in competitive play. It also encourages easier weapons to be played like Splattershot and blasters, in casual and competitive, because they are more consistent. I wonder why Range Blaster and Shooter mains simp for this special... But, no, Snipewriter is the main problem, even though ZF scope is better than 5B in a Zones Meta. This special has been meta for longer than Inkjet and Crab, which took some skill to use instead of just placing it down. Finally, it is literally required to have one of this special on the team, which is bad game design if there are 19 specials, and a specific special is required on a team of 4 people.

This slang term for people who religiously stick to popular opinions for competitive games, is especially noticeable in the Splatoon 3 Community. These people tend to treat the current top-tier weapons as factually better than other weapons, even though some competitive player could pop out of nowhere with an unexpected weapon and perform well with it. Once the competitive player does that, their opinions mysteriously change in support of that weapon.
