A customer created a new Quickbooks account after using ProConnect for many years. Now when they try using the tax mapping feature, they don't have the option to update an existing return, and when they create a new return it brings them into a completely empty ProConnect with no CAN. Why is this and how can they fix it?

When they created a new login for Quickbooks, it created a brand new ProConnect to go with it. As soon as a QBOA account is created, a PTO is created to go with it, and vice versa. They should have logged in with the same info as they use to log into PTO. There is no way to unlink a ProConnect and Quickbooks once they are linked.
