During the 30th Annual Meeting of the corporation (May 1977), the organization’s name was changed to Executive Women International. This change reflects the international expansion of the organization and recognizes the changing roles of women in business and the diverse careers held by our representatives.

philanthropy projects since 1992. EWI members dedicate their time and talents to a variety of
philanthropy projects to increase literacy awareness among both children and adults through these events.

From 1984 until we chartered, Ann Chapman traveled to Chattanooga on a regular basis to conduct coffees, wine and cheese parties, and other informal meetings trying to get enough members to charter a chapter.

What are the benefits of attending LCAM?

Keynote speakers, workshops, seminars, group discussions, and more offer diverse learning opportunities. Social gatherings provide networking and establish new connections. Reading Rally events and other philanthropic activities reach the local community and help the Chapters learn how to implement programming in their communities. Our annual Celebration Gala allows recognition of our members and the many successes of our Chapters.

EWI Chattanooga partners with this member firm each year to volunteer and support the school readiness goal of focusing on literacy and placing books in the homes of all children, having parents more engaged in the education of their own child by reading with their children at home, increasing the educational level of parents by helping with GED, high school or college and increasing the educational level of all teachers who work directly with the children.
