King Balthazar is the king of Babylon, son of king Nebuchadnezzar.

Kind Balthazar threw a great feast and took the holy articles of the Lord's temple to be used as plates and cups. He defiled objects that were only to be used in the temple.

The first morning Gideon woke up and checked the fleece. The fleece was wet, and the  ground was dry. This was a problem because this happens anyway.

Gideon returned to God and asked for the ground to be wet and the fleece to be dry.  The next morning, Gideon checked the fleece, and it was bone dry, but the ground  around it was wet.

An idol is anything that we worship other than God. This means that we spend more time and focus on it, rather than God. For the Israelites, it was false gods made of wood, metal, or stone. For us, it may be sports, video games, celebrities, or our friends.
