Johnny wakes up every morning at 6 a.m. and his bus picks him up at 6:20 a.m. What should Johnny do to be organized in the morning and not stressed?

If Johnny cannot get up earlier, he should lay out his clothes, have his Chromebook charging, and have his backpack ready! If his house is disorganized, he can have a basket or bin with his items.

Bob's house is a mess. He is embarrassed by it, but it's not his fault. His mom and dad work a lot, and they have pets that aren't potty-trained. When he comes home, he immediately goes to his bedroom and doesn't do homework. He cares about school, but things are rough right now. What can he control and not control in this situation?

He can control how he manages his time at school. He can also control his schoolwork by asking his teachers for help. He doesn't have to get personal, but he can tell them that it's hard to focus on home, and he needs more help at school.

He can't control his home life, but he could practice mindfulness at home and maybe begin to help with the pets.

Johnny gets more and more overwhelmed and if he doesn't get help from his teachers and/or counselors, things will only snowball. He should ask for help and start writing things down.
