How should students enter the Main Portable?
- Walking
- Entering quietly
How do we enter either Preschool or Room 10?
- Enter quietly
- Voice Level 0 or 1
- Enter quickly and sit down
What are you supposed to do after check-in when outside?
- Sit down in the assigned area with teachers
- Have snack
- Toss trash when done
After the final bell, you should do what?
-Report to the main portable
-Do Not Wait
What does ELP stand for?
- It is a new name this year meaning The Expanded Learning Program!
When teachers dismiss students should...
- Wait to be dismissed
- Walk to the door
- Line up quietly
When we are in Preschool or Room 10 we must...?
- Respect the classroom
- Clean up after ourselves
- Do Not use or borrow items or toys from the rooms
- Follow instructions
After snack, who is responsible for any trash left behind?
- All students in the area
- Keep our areas clean
During check-in what should students be doing?
-Sitting at tables/carpet
-Waiting for teachers to give instructions
- Voice level at a 0 or 1
When playing with a toy or board game or outside game and another student asked to join what should you do?
- Allow them to join in
- Ask them to wait and join next round
- Treat others how you would want to be treated
How should we treat our teachers? (How do we want to be treated?)
- Show them respect by following instructions the first time
- Being kind with our words
- Being helpers to teachers without being asked
When you are in Preschool or Room 10 you should...?
(In Preschool where should students be? In Room 10 where should students be?)
- Stay where teachers are present or have allowed you to be
- If you are unsure if you can be in a certain area of the classroom ask
- In Preschool: Carpet and tables
- Room 10: Main room tables
If a ball is heading toward another student or teacher always remember to say...
- Always call heads up
When using the restrooms students should..?
- Knock
- If both restrooms are full, wait patiently
- Walk into and from bathrooms
- Wash hands right after using the restroom
How and when can students enter the library?
- Always ask a teacher first
- Do not enter the library during check-in (find a table)
- When in the library students are sitting and reading (or doing homework)
- Keep books and items in the library on laps
When there is a knock at the door students should?
- Tell a teacher (if they do not hear it)
- Step away from the door when it is being opened or closed
-Stay behind the mat and be aware of other's space
When we leave Preschool or Room 10 we must?
- But everything away or back (tables or chairs)
- Pick up any trash we find (even if it is not yours)
- Take all belongings with you (These are not our rooms. If things get left they may not get found again)
What are some rules for the play structure?
- No running upstairs
- One person at a time on the climbing side
- Feet first on the slide
When a teacher says headcount you inside you ...?
When a teacher says headcount outside you should?
- Inside: You freeze (headcount is to make sure everyone is safe) and wait for instructions
- Outside: You freeze and line up (on the fence or line)
How and when can students enter the cafe?
- Always ask a teacher first
- Do not enter the cafe during check-in or during activities (find a table)
- When in the cafe students must be kind to toys and items (At all times)
- When students are done in the cafe they must clean up
When playing with toys or board games students should?
- Treat toys and board games with kindness
- Share with other students
- Clean up after done playing
- Help others clean up too!
When you leave the Main Portable to the Preschool or Room 10 you must...?
- Wait for a Teacher (to go with you)
- Use walking feet to go to Preschool or Room 10
When outside how should we talk to other students?
What should you do if friends are using unkind words?
(How can you ask another student if they want to play?)
- Using kind words and actions
- If friends are not using kind words or are being unsafe let a teacher know
