If you're finished with your work, what is the expectation?

Reading a book or working quietly at your desk the entire time we are in independent work. This is not a time to talk to your peers, even if you're both finished.

Why is it important to have voice level zero the entire time we are in indepdent work?

It gives all students an opportunity to have quiet think time so they can do their best work.

How is movement different during independent work time?

This is the only time to ask to use the bathroom or get water during Amplify.

Answer may vary - Help them find information, tell them where you found the information, ask for their opinion, ask them to find specific information to help the group, split the work up for all students

If you have the same idea or thing to say that someone else has alread said, what are you supposed to do when you get the talking stick?

You still have to speak in a complete sentence and share you idea with your group. It's never okay to say "I agree" and pass the stick.
