Name the morning routine (starting when you enter the classroom). There are 4 steps.
1. Hang up coat and book bag.
2. Get your folder and agenda out of book bag and put on your desk
3. Do your morning job (if you have one) and check it off.
4. Be in your area (at your desk) with folder, agenda, and check-in materials and waiting quietly to be called on.
5. Check-in with adult and select lunch choice
6. Post lunch order
7. Get breakfast and eat at desk (or in your area)
8. Throw trash away
What if I don't know what to do and I wasn't paying attention? -2 steps

If you can also name something you could do if you are distracted
1. Take responsibility and say "I wasn't paying attention, can you please repeat that?"
2. Then pay attention

2. Where does your folder, book bag, and coat go before you have received your pointsheet?
3. What 4 things will show adults that you are ready for dismissal 4 things?
1. agenda and pointsheet (in your folder)
2. folder-on your desk; bookbag-on the back of your chair or next to your desk; coat-on the back of your chair, in book bag, or on-wearing it
3. Dismissal job has been done and checked off; quietly in your area or at your desk; only materials needed for school will be in your cubby and desk (pencils need to go back in box or in purple tub); area around your desk will be clean
What if you don't want to do your work?
-Take a (3 or 5 minute) break and then return to task
-Tell an adult that you don't want to do it, then be able to accept consequence of not doing work (make up work on your time-PAT, homework, Fun Friday)
-Move to batcave and remain safe
