Use my backup pencil (should always have 3 sharpened!!)

Quickly, quietly, and in line order.
Where do I turn in my completed work?
In the correct turn in tray.
When is it OK to speak out and interrupt the teacher?
We can only interrupt the teacher if there is an emergency that cannot wait.
How should I act during specials?
The same way you should act in the classroom!!
You're allowed to not like something, you are NOT allowed to be disrespectful.

Is this an emergency? Is this a good time to go? I raise my hand and ask the teacher.
I was given a ticket, what should I do?
Wait for an appropriate time to put in the correct bucket.

NO!
The teacher rang the doorbell or said "stop talking in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0! What am I supposed to do?
Freeze, stop talking and look at the teacher.
How should I behave in the bathroom?
Be quiet, do your business, clean up any messes, and get out.
What do I do when I first walk into class?
What all do I need to have with me to be prepared for my classes?
Folder, binder, agenda, charged computer, sharpened pencil, and snack.
I don't feel like sitting in my assigned seat today, should I get up and move wherever I want?
NO! You stay in your assigned seat. Some days we may move, but NOT EVERY DAY!
What voice level would you use when in the hallway? Walking to other classes? Walking back from lunch?
You should use a 1 (whisper) or a 0 (silent) level.
When working with a partner, what should my voice level always be?
1 (whisper) or 2 (soft voice)
What should I do when I am finished with my snack?
Make sure I have all of my mess cleaned up and pick a good time to throw it all away with interrupting.
How should we transition?
When Mrs. Goodman gives us the word to go, we stand up, move quickly and quietly, and complete our task given.
When should I have my computer open?
When given permission!!
Why is it important to be aware of your voice level in different settings?
Being aware helps maintain a respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
Why is it important to follow all our expectations in every school setting but especially in our classroom?
To show respect, to act like great 5th graders, to have a safe and happy environment, to keep Mrs. Goodman sane, and to have a GREAT rest your 5th grade year!
Goodman: It's the end of the day, should I be loud and moving around the room?
Knostman: It's time for bulldog breakout, what should I do?
Goodman: No! You should be sitting in your seat quietly, waiting for my row to be called.
Knostman: Wait for Mrs. Goodman to say to line up. When she does, I push in my chair, grab ALL if my things, and line up quietly.
Goodman: It's the end of the day and Mrs. Goodman called my row, what do I do?
Knostman: Miss. Bobbit or Mrs. Hahn are talking to the class, do I need to listen?
Goodman: Stand up quietly, plug in my computer, grab my things from my locker, pack up at my seat and then sit down and wait for more instructions.
Knostman: YES!!!!! They get the same respect as any other adult in our school!
