What does the C in CHAMPS stand for?
Conversation (voice level)
Where can you go to check our daily agenda (which includes what we did that day, homework, the learning target)

Shows Respect
What is in your binder that will help you to keep it organized?
Dividers and table of contents sheet
What is the expectation for leaving/lining up at the end of class?
Wait for Ms. Kapolnek to tell the class to pack up and wait by the door until told you can leave.
What does the H in CHAMPS stand for, and what does it mean?
H stands for help and allows you to know how you can get help during an activity!
When would be a bad time to decided to sharpen your pencil?
-During class directions or discussion
-When someone is presenting/speaking
-When someone else is sharpening their pencil
What is the MOST IMPORTANT rule in science class (especially during LAB)?
Act Safely!!!
True or False: In order to show you are participating, you must raise your hand to share your answers.
False! There are many ways to show participation. Including good listening skills, taking notes, engaging with your group, etc.
If you are absent or loose any papers, where can you find extra copies?
In the blue crate on the bookshelf by the door.
Where can you find the CHAMPS Expectations for the day?
On the white board for class discussion/directions and on the projector during activities.
If you are absent what are things you should do to stay caught up?
-Check in with Ms. Kapolnek when you return or send an email if absence is known about in advance.
-Catch up on work and utilize coming in before school if needed!
Where can you check your science grade?
Powerschool OR Schoology (Ms. Kapolnek just started using schoology this trimester)
If at the beginning of class you could ask to grab it from your locker. If it is a pencil or chromebook charger, ask to borrow one from Ms. Kapolnek!
When Ms. Kapolnek begins to count down, what is every member of the class expected to do?
Quiet down, face Ms. K, pause whatever they are doing.
If the CHAMPS Expectations say M: None, what is expected during the activity
No movement is expected during the activity. Stay in assigned seats.
What is the procedure for leaving class to go to the bathroom or get a drink?
How can you Offer Empathy in class?
