expected = ask how you can help pick teams or ask if you can be team captain
You just watched your schools talent show. You were not very impressed with your friends act but you walk up to them and say “great job!”
Unexpected = tell them how bad it was
expected = being a good and supportive friend
The new friend who just enrolled at your school is eating alone because they don’t know anyone. You walk up to them and ask if you could join them.
