What is in 1994?
Must be in direct sight, not left alone, and must use a buddy system
What is our Extended Day Students?
On duty till 4:00 pm, keeper of all medication, call extension. 319 or (703) 749-6319
What is our School Nurse?
This plan must address procedures for assembly points, head counts, and primary and secondary means of egress, ensuring complete evacuation
What is the Emergency Evacuation Plan?
Snack, playground (or gym) duty, walking students to music lessons, homework duty, activity block, or late bus duty
What are Extended Day Daily Duties?
For students grades K through 8
What is our Extended Day Program?
Know your students, roll call, or count-off
What is Student Accountability?
Take for outdoor play, hikes, and field trips
What is the First Aid Kit?
Avoid auditoriums and gymnasiums, move away from windows, and move to interior hallways on the lowest floor
What are Severe Weather Emergencies?
Begins at 2:00 pm and Ends at 6:00 pm
What are Extended Day Hours?
Follows school year calendar except when the school dismisses at noon
What is Extended Day Schedule/Operations?
Require a coordinated response from the school, and keep quiet as casual conversations can have legal implications
What is a Crisis Situations?
Scissors, tweezers, adhesive tape, band-aids, antiseptic cleansing solution/pads, thermometer, bandages, single-use gloves, first aid instruction manual, ice packs, battery-operated flashlight, and a battery-operated radio
What is Required Emergency/First Aid Supplies?
Talk quietly and calmly with a student about their actions, help the student express their feelings and frustrations, and redirect the student to acceptable behaviors with positively worded directions
What is the Behavior and Discipline Policy?
Be prepared with a variety of ideas to keep students engaged and active
What are Activity Blocks?
Enrolls approximately 45 students or more annually
What is our Extended Day Program?
Notify the Division Head, and conduct an immediate area search, after 5-10 minutes, the designee notifies the Director of Safety and Security
What is a Lost/Missing Person?
Unconsciousness, broken bones, deep cuts, allergic reactions to food or insect bites, concussions, respiratory distress, or foreign objects lodged in the eye, nose, ear, or throat require immediate action
What are Major injuries?
Actual or suspected incidences of child abuse within 72 hours of the incident or suspicion follow crisis protocol
What is a Report to the Department of Education?
Group by grade levels, put out bins daily, use table signs to direct students, identity activity stations, clean, and ensure enough tables and chairs are set up and put up daily
What is Extended Day Set-up and Breakdown?
Respected because of their quality, experience, and professionalism
What is our Extended Day Staff?
Actively supervising w/in 10 feet of students on outside equipment and not allowing them to run on hard paved surfaces
What is our Playground safety plan?
Immediately if a child suffers a serious accident or needs emergency care
