Christ was entirely human and totally Divine, combining both of his divine and human natures into one person.
HYPOSTATIC UNION
Jesus's self-designation... Messianic in character... One might alternatively read "Son of Man" to simply mean "human," as in "mortal".
SON OF MAN
The ascent of Christ into Heaven on the fortieth day after the Resurrection.
ASCENSION
The widespread execution custom in Rome. the hanging or nailing on a cross of Jesus (and many others).
CRUCIFIXION
A simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels.
PARABLE
The Second Coming of Christ . . . The future visible return from Heaven of Jesus, to raise the dead, hold the Last Judgment, and set up formally and gloriously the kingdom of God.
PAROUSIA
To be made in the flesh a deity, spirit, or abstract quality.
