After the Prophet (SAW) came back from his journey of Israa wal Miraaj, the people of Makkah began to talk, ultimately doubting the Prophet (SAW) and his claims of travelling to and from Jerusalem in a single night. A few people came to Abu Bakr (RA) and asked him if he believed the Prophet (SAW). He said, “Yes, I do indeed believe him about the things which are even more amazing than that: I believe him about revelation that comes to him from the heavens in the early morning or in the afternoon.” It was because of this incident that Abu Bakr (RA) was given the name of As-Siddiq.
