INTENTION is what a person may think or feel during an action or conversation. 

VERSES

IMPACT Refers to how that behavior makes the other person feel. This is how your actions were perceived by the other person.  


Ex: You make a joke with your friends, but they don't laugh at it. Your INTENTION was to be funny, but your IMPACT was you hurt his or her feelings.
